Punta Chivo Camp Surf we are a specialized surf center on one of the best beaches in Mexico to practice this exciting sport. We are the first surf camp in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca.
Salina Cruz is located just 2 hours south of Huatulco and 4 from Puerto Escondido.
We have had the privilege of being able to receive the most famous surfers in the world, here they come to enjoy the waves that sometimes measure up to 4 or 5 meters.
Hollywood actors such as Phil Austin (Olympus has fallen) have also visited us.
Everyone is welcome at Punta Chivo Surf Camp, from beginner to advanced. We assure you that you will never forget this experience.
Within our services you will find camps, surf tours, school and yoga classes, as well as practicing other alternatives to surfing, paddle surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Our surf camp is very well located, only 5 minutes driving from the first beach. In addition, we offer daily surf tours to the best waves in the Oaxacan Pacific.
"Surfing is more than a sport, it's a way of life." It keeps you in touch with nature and once you start you will always want to surf!
Summary Kitesurfing
Despite not being well known by Kitesurf fans, Salina Cruz is a perfect place to practice this sport, especially during the winter months, since between November and March the currents of wind are perfect.
One of our special services are "Kite Surf Trips". While at the kite school we always look for the safest wind conditions and beaches for beginner "riders", always practice in protected areas.
Our kitesurfing programs are divided into the following parts:
- Part 1: Introduction to kiteboarding controlling the kite from the ground, knowing the 4 lines that plan the kite. It lasts between 1 or 2 hours.
- Part 2: Kite Control Body Drag. Once you are ready to maneuver the kite in the wind zone, we will practice body dragging, launching the kite from the water and land rescue techniques.
- Part 3: We start learning kitesurfing in the water with sliding with the board.
- Part 4: Upwind Kiteboarding
- Part 5: Changes of direction with the kite

Imagine that one day there are no waves during your stay in Salina Cruz, well that is easily fixed. We take a SUP, paddle the paddles and go for a ride. Try standing on the board and maintaining your balance.
In fact, we are aware that Salina Cruz beach is special for many reasons. The jungle landscape is incredible and its sunrises over the Pacific Ocean are spectacular. In addition to surfing, Salina Cruz is ideal for swimming,Windsurfing and Kite Surfing. If you prefer something on land, try a hiking excursion since this area has water sources, waterfalls and Zapotec ruins of Guiengola.

Have you never surfed? That is why we are located in Salina Cruz. This beach has one of the best waves to learn to surf in the world, perfect for those starting from scratch, learning the most basic techniques.
Are you an Intermediate Surfer? We have our coaching program to improve. Our course teaches ocean safety, methodologies and wave dynamics.
Unlike other surf schools that form large groups of students and are all surfing at the same time, and where they only push you in the foam; We will choose the best location so that you can learn to ride a wave from the first day of class.
Our surf school is for people of all ages, from 5 years old. Includes all the surf equipment that you can use throughout the day.
We also organize trips and surf school for "GIRLS ONLY", combining surfing and yoga for beginners and advanced levels. A surf trip for only women looking for adventure with a good level of safety and comfort.

When wind conditions allow, at Punta Chivo Camp we offer clinics, rentals and windsurfing trips. For many "Riders", using this technique is a perfect complement to the surfing experience, while for many this modality is a passion.
At Punta Chivo Camp we have various packages with classes, accommodation, travel and food. All at your disposal so you can enjoy the sea.
You can come with your board and windsurf sail or rent one from us. We have the best equipment and certified and trained instructors with experience on the best beaches in Mexico and abroad.

In Salina Cruz we have more than 15 rights and 2 lefts world class, recognized by professional riders from all over the world, as well as the famous Barra de la Cruz "La Joya". Rest assured that you will surf the best waves and tubes of your life. In our camp surfing is intensive day and afternoon.
From the moment you start your "Chivoaventura", you will see the passion and enthusiasm we have for the surf culture. With us you will enjoy surf barbecues on the beach, road trips, virgin and of course beautiful places.
All of our packages include: Accommodation, Meals, Assistance throughout the trip, all transfers by 4x4 (the use of all-terrain vehicles is necessary in this area) and more!
Within the special services of our camp we have an "All Girls Surf Camp", a camp only for girls and a school that combines surfing and yoga for all levels.
