Outdoor Hire Centre offers bicycle, kayak, dinghy, windsurfer and camping equipment hire across the North Essex and South Suffolk areas.

Equipment can be collected from our centres in Maldon, Mersea and East Bergholt / Manningtree or delivered to and collected from your home, holiday cottage or campsite at times convenient to you.

The Outdoor Hire Centre  also ‘Sit On Top’ Kayaks available.  Great fun for all the family whether your paddling through beautiful Constable Country or exploring the Essex and Suffolk Coastlines.

Dinghy's are available to qualified adult hirees  who have completed their RYA Level 2 on weekend and weekly terms. There are lots of fantastic inland sailing spots across the region, and for those with tidal coastal qualifications the Essex and Suffolk coast provide good sailing. Mersea, Wivenhoe, Manningtree, Mistley, Brightlingsea, St Osyth, Pinn Mill are all in our area.

Windsurfers are available to qualified adult hirees who have completed their RYA Advanced or have demonstrable experience on weekend and weekly terms. The Outdoor Hire Centre delivers the craft 'road ready' but you will be required to make it 'water ready'.

If you feel that you can take it out unsupervised, but need a little refresher course, The Outdoor Hire Centre can organize a qualified instructor to help you refamiliarise yourself with the skills and techniques required.

Our fleet includes: Picnic Bikes, Tourers, Tandems, Folding, Electric as well as three grades of 'Hybrid' and MTB.

All hires include optional extras:
- Personal Safety Kit: Helmet, High Vis Belt, Lights.

- Delivery and Collection within 15 miles of Colchester.
