Company Overview

Katay Sailing is a company created by three people passionate about the sea and its waters. We have been sailing together for years and it is time to share our knowledge and experiences with people who enjoy sailing like we do.

Prana is the name of our charter, an Elan Impression 434 (2007) that has been prepared and conditioned in 2021. We have it moored in the port of Sotogrande, Cádizand that is where we start all our adventures. It consists of four double cabins and two fully equipped bathrooms. The living room is characterized by its spaciousness and the deck by its solarium and bathtub.

If you like to enjoy the wind and sail through the wonderful waters of the Costa de la Luz, Prana will not disappoint you. You can do all kinds of activities with your friends or family to make the experience more complete. Paddle surfing or snorkeling will be the activities par excellence of the boat outings, you will get to know the most characteristic beaches in the area such as Bologna Beach or Tarifa.

We offer different services, from 3-hour boat trips to sailboat rentals for a week. We also offer navigation training. In any case, in navigation you will always be accompanied by a skipper to ensure that everything goes as we have previously planned. The skipper will be the one you contact when choosing the routes. In short, it is a different and fun way to spend special days on the coast.

If none of the activities offered fit your tastes, you have the option of organizing a personalized boat trip. Thus deciding the route, the stops and the boat on which you do the activity.

At Katay Sailing we invite you to add a little personality to your vacation and enjoy your beach vacation in a different way. Your setting will be the sea and its soundtrack will be the sound of birds and waves. Immerse yourself in the experience of knowing the sea from within and its wonderful sunsets, believe us, you will not be disappointed.

Our boat, Prana, is an Elan 434 from 2007 and is moored in the port of Sotogrande. In 2021 it has been reviewed and prepared so that you can enjoy the outings without any inconvenience.The boat is fully equipped so that your experience does not disappoint and you only worry about enjoying yourself. When the boat ride begins, you will receive a welcome glass of cava along with wine, beer, soft drinks, water and snacks.

We have adapted the boat trips so that departures can be made for 3 to 6 hours or half a day, starting at 10:30 until sunset. For the ride it is not necessary to have previous experience since we always rent it with Patrón and thus be sure that everything goes as we have planned. You will have a large solarium for lovers of sun rays, four cabins, two bathrooms and a large room for those who want to rest below deck.

During the navigation you can do various aquatic activities since we have a paddle surf board and snorkeling equipment so you can get to know the underwater world of the Costa de la Luz. You will have the opportunity to get to know the long beaches of Bolonia and Tarifa where the white sand is its main protagonist. In short, it will be a magnificent experience to share unforgettable moments with your friends or family.

If you want to learn how to perform the best maneuvers on board a sailboat, at Katay Sailing we offer you the opportunity to do navigation training so that You can apply that knowledge on your next outings to the high seas.

You will be accompanied by a professional skipper throughout the training so that you can learn about the key points of navigation: meteorology, wind, route planning, how to maneuver in the port, anchoring... You will learn about safety at sea, how to tie knots, carry out practical and night navigation.

During the training you will receive the necessary materials to make your stay on our charter more comfortable for you.
