Company Overview
Welcome to the Filey Sailing Club, a brilliant club and official RYA training centre in located in Filey along the shore of the North Sea. We boast a prime location as The Brigg which is a land mass that protrudes out to shelter our area from the raging sea, makes our location a great place to enjoy sailing or powerboating.
We offer a great club that offers training, social sailing and races and well as official RYA Powerboat courses. Our courses on offer are the following:
- Dinghy Levels 1 & 2 + Youth Scheme
- Seamanship / Day Sailing / Sailing with Spinnakers / Start Racing / Performance Sailing
- Power Boating Level 1 & 2 & Safety Boat
- Windsurfing
- First Aid
- Basic Navigation Course (New)
We have a fleet of sailboats that belong to the club.

Summary Sailing
Greetings from the Filey Sailing Club Sailing located north of Filey along the cliffs of the North Sea. We are a club that welcomes sailors of all levels from the complete novice to the experienced sailor and we offer official RYA training to racing for those looking to enjoy their skills for some friendly competition.
We offer a fantastic location to sail as our beach is protected by The Brigg, a piece of land that juts out and serves as a barrier against the raging sea and waves.
We are able to offer the following sailing courses:
Dinghy Levels 1 & 2 + Youth Scheme
Seamanship / Day Sailing / Sailing with Spinnakers / Start Racing Performance Sailing
Our fleet is made up of 7 Toppers, 5 Pico's and 2 Topper Omegas.

Summary Powerboating
Welcome to Filey Sailing Club Powerboating! Based in just north of Filey, we are located along the coast of the North Sea; however we are sheltered by the Brigg which blocks strong winds and currents from sea making our location a brilliant one for powerboat training.
We are an official RYA Training Centre and we can offer the following course:
- Power Boating Level 1: This is a one day introductory course that offers both theoretical and practical training.
- Power Boating Level 2: This is a 2 day course that entails much of the same as Level 1 but with more time to further perfect your skills.
- RYA Safety Boat: An excellent course for those with experience who will be working as escorts or rescue boats.
