Come discover the essence of surfing! Esencia Surf School we are a surf school located in Chiclana de la Frontera, on the La Barrosa beach >. With more than 10 years of experience in the water sports sector, we have all the quality certificates of the Spanish Surfing Federation. We provide teaching with qualified instructors and specialists in aquatic therapy, and we also work with the best materials aimed at effective learning.
We offer different courses for all ages and levels including all the material necessary for your practice:
- Courses adapted for all levels starting with initiation to correcting faults for more advanced surfers.
- Technical and functional training programs.
- We have our own project "321 Surf for Down", where we teach surfing classes to children with Down Syndrome or other functional diversities.
- The professionalism with which we work and the good treatment with clients are our best letter of introduction and the basis for practicing this sport to always be something exciting.

Summary Paddle Boarding
At Esencia Surf School you can switch from the boards we use to move between the waves to the paddle surf ones to learn how to move along the Cadiz coast.
The simplicity of this modality allows the simultaneous combination between the stand up paddle class and the route since you will be able to acquire concepts as we navigate an activity in which:
- We select times when the sea is calm so that the lesson is suitable for any level. From here we will introduce you to the material: a board with a large surface area that is very stable and a paddle with which we take the direction that interests us at all times. You'll need to pay special attention to how you hold it, shift it from one side of your body to the other, and use it for turns.
- We leave from Playa de la Barrosa, where the school is located, or we head to the coast in front of the Sancti Petri Castle. We will navigate standing, slowly, with more than enough time to contemplate a spectacular environment that changes at every hour of the day with the different incidence of sunlight on the waters.
Summary Surfing
At Esencia Surf School we have learned what a student needs throughout the decade we have spent as teachers and coaches of this aquatic modality. With this we have established the courses that we consider basic to meet any type of profile that comes to us from La Barrosa Beach:
- Initiation: lessons without age limitations aimed at those who do not yet have a base to move on the waves or those who have a medium to low level. They are structured based on the group's requirements. The goal is that you end up managing to slide down the wall into the sea.
- Improvement: they are suitable for surfers with some experience. We take care of all the phases that someone who is already self-employed needs, from physical preparation to technical training and correction of errors on a personal level. To do this we use the videos we record while you are in the water. So by viewing it you can understand where you need reinforcement.
The courses include the material but if after or during your vacation you need to rent it, we have softboards, longboards and shortboards.
