Ballyholme Yacht Club

Welcome to the Ballyholme Yacht Club based on the entrance to the Belfast Lough in Bangor, Northern Ireland. We are a sailing club as well as an RYA certified training centre where you can enjoy your hobby or receive the training necessary to allow you to acquire skills and technique.

We offer courses for both adults and youth for sailing and powerboating. The below are the courses that we can offer:

• Adult Dinghy Sailing Level 2
• Adult Dinghy Sailing Level 3
• Youth RYA Stage 1-2 Beginner courses
• Youth RYA Stage 3-4 Improver Courses

• RYA Powerboating Level 2

Welcome to Ballyholme Yacht Club Sailing, where you can learn to sail or perfect your technique (we are an official RYA Training Centre) or join our sailing club and reap the benefits of being able to participate in events, races and sailing sessions. Based in Banger, our club is located at the entrance to the scenic Belfast Lough.

Ballyholme Yacht Club Powerboating, is a welcoming club and RYA Training Centre that offers official RYA powerboat training on their waters at the entrance of the Belfast Lough in Bangor.

We offer two of the basic yet essential RYA Powerboating courses, those being:

• RYA Powerboating Level 2: This course allows you to get the base for the internationally recognized International Certificate of Competence and provides you with training for the most essential powerboating techniques.
• RYA Safety Boat: This is a 2 day course that will teach rescue techniques and how to escort other crafts.
