Altura Vela

Altura was born from the common commitment of a group of naval officers: meeting in Rome, they decided at the beginning of the 90s that the time had come to create a sports association that could bring people closer to and allow them to discover sailing, even to those who do not exactly fall into the category of wealthy landowners.

Altura organizes sailing courses (basic, advanced and skipper training) and courses for the sailing license and not only also boat holidays for a weekend or entire weeks !

A false myth is the one that has always plagued this sport, very often in the belief that it was a "non-accessible" possibility: Altura courses promote, for this very reason, two categories of activities, those that are aimed at teaching sailing and those that fall within a recreational context.

But what is the real reason to get involved in a sport like sailing?
While sailing you will realize how much the boat offers you a vision of places that perhaps you already know: everything will appear completely different, incredibly more evocative and magical.

A great, new panorama of adventure and emotions will open up with the courses of the Altura association, which will instruct you on all the fundamental concepts of the topics necessary to experience the sea in tranquility and safety.

Offshore navigation, which gives its name to the ASD itself, is among the fundamental themes of our programmes, which range carefully within the fields of meteorology and safe manoeuvres.

To have fun, because we don't forget that sailing is first and foremost fun, we organize regatta courses and crews to participate in coastal competitions, but also sailing holidays of different durations.
