Have you always dreamed of piloting your own ULM plane? At Air Fly 17, it’s possible, and even strongly recommended! Our passionate instructors will undoubtedly pass on their love of altitude to you, which can be very contagious.

Located in Marennes, our take-off base promises a sensational discovery of the coasts of Charente-Maritime. Leave the mainland for an unforgettable flight in a Savannah microlight over the Moêze-Oléron nature reserve, a jewel of Charentais heritage. A large-scale ornithological reserve, each year it is a home to many species of migratory birds, which you will certainly have the chance to accompany on their great journey south. Beyond this are the islands of Ré and Oléron and their salt marshes: unique landscapes to discover from the skies! To the south, pass the Courbe lighthouse and contemplate the Côte sauvage, where the Garonne flows into an estuary into the ocean.

A hotspot for Atlantic biodiversity, our beautiful Charentais country also contains numerous sites listed as French historical heritage. Separating Ré and Oléron from the mainland, the strait of the Pertuis d'Antioche is known for its numerous fortified sites, including the inimitable Fort Boyard! Isolated wonders on the chaperone of islands which dot the strait, accessible only by air or water. In short, enjoy a panoramic view of Charente-Maritime: dazzling is guaranteed!

The activity is carried out with the support of an approved instructor. The length of the flight can be adapted according to your desires, from simple contemplation of the Marennes sky to an introduction to piloting over the Atlantic.

Air Fly 17 will meet you at the Marennes aerodrome, just outside the town of Marennes-Hiers-Brouage and just 15 minutes from Oléron. Arriving from Rochefort, you need to allow 20 minutes to reach us via the D123. Allow around 45 minutes of driving from La Rochelle.
