"It has been a wonderful experience, it was a gift and I am delighted, I have flown over the Yerga mountains, Isasa, the Pyrenees and over the beautiful villages of the Cidacos valley. Special mention should be made of Préjano and Arnedillo with impressive views from the air and very surprising, since it is a terrain that I know and seen from the plane it is wonderful and fascinating. 10 things to do in Navarra

If the nostalgic Ernest Hemingway was surprised by the esquizitez of this land, maybe is because it has an unusual attractiveness. Navarra, that land surrounded by beautiful mountains and greenery is the destination chosen by thousands of tourists to just disconnect from the routine and enjoy they rich gastronomy, tours throughout the historical old quarter and numerous adventure sports. We propose to you ten activities to enjoy in this emblematic Spanish region, from horseback routes to paragliding flights.

1. Hot Air Balloon Ride in Pamplona.



Come to one of the cities with more enchantment among the northern cities to just enjoy a comfortable and pleasant balloon ride. Pamplona, as the capital of Navarra, accommodates in its limits and frontiers historical constructions like the gothic cathedral or, at fwe kilometers, the Olite Castle. The perfect plan to carry out with your partner and surprise him/her.

2. Horseback Route in Arbayún.



Have fun through the Foz de Arbuyán paths, whilst riding a horse. This special place, at the north of Spain, has as the protagonist the woodlands od Arangotini. Its rocky routes, formed by the shore of the Salazar River, in the middle of the Sierra of Leire, will make your tour a very fun one. You will feel just like an authentic rider, crossing terrains full of vegetation. You will also be a witness of the biggest community of Navarra’s griffon vultures.

3. Paramotoring in Legarda.



At just 10 minutes from Pamplona, one of the best aerial experiences that any human being could do will be waiting for you, paramotoring or paragliding. Hanging from, literally, a motor, you will sightsee the impressive landscapes of Legarda, from a different view of perspective that only the distance of this flight can give. The huge and green forests extend throughout the surroundings and its classic buildings will be a delightfulness to your eyes. Everything whilst you enjoy the air and the sensation of liberty that a paratrike gives.

4. Quad Route in Alto de la Murga.



Do you like crossing rough and winding paths that are surrounded by vegetation? The quad route through Alto de la muga will offer you sensations that will surpass your expectations. Located at 800 meters in height, once you reach the peak, in front of you will be an exquisite panoramic. If you look to the east, you will sightsee the Quiles Valley, and to the south, the Moncayo forest and to the north, the Pyrenees.

5. Enotourism in Viana.



Border city with La Rioja, and if one of the things you love the most is to enjoy a good wine surrounded by history, Viana is the location of Navarra that you need to visit. With an important historical past, that was the residence of kings and nobles, you will also enjoy the interesting enotourism routes tha will take you to meet and explore how the wine is produced, and you can complete the experience by visiting important buildings like the Santa María church.

6. Zip-Line Park in Urbasa.



If you are travelling through Navarra or thinking about visiting this beautiful region, you can’t miss this opportunity of having fun in the zip-lining circuits of the Sierra of Urbasa. Due to its wild, natural and hilly surroundings, this location, that is found at just 40 minutes from Pamplona by car, becomes the perfect place to release tensions by just having fun during a day full of adventure. 7. Speleology in Noriturri.



Are you an intrepid and adventurous person that during every trip looks for living new sensations? The exploration of caves is a plan that adapts to your profile and in Noriturri the best expeditions are waiting for you. 8. Canyoning in Itugoyen.

Release all that accumulated stress with great laughs and a dosis of adventure that the canyoning routes in Iturgoyen will provide. Known due to its great natural space, that include mountains and incredible ravines, this Navarra’s location will provide you jumps into the water, obstacles and very fun descends through the northern part of the Iberian peninsule.

9. Kayaking through the Ega River.



Cross the Estella city by a kayak, through the Ega River. Its calm waters, and surrounded, will take you throughout a beautiful route in which you will enjoy by watching the typical Navarra’s houses located in the rivershore or the spectacular Montejurra peak. If you visit Navarra, this is the activity you cannot not practice.

10. Segway in Pamplona.

Surrounded by a giant wall, the pretty streets in the old quarter, the ideal paths to move through with this vehicles, the Medieval buildings, places and the famous bars, make Navarra a famous capital.
