"An hour's drive to get there but it was worth the detour. A great welcome and a great ranch with magnificent horses and a really great two-hour ride. The staff is great to you. Walk with two children aged 8 and 9, one who doesn't ride but Samantha the guide adapts perfectly to everyone. I really recommend."

10 things to do in Islas Baleares

The Balearic Islands are jewels bathed by the Mediterranean and to think about them, is to fantasize with a paradise. The majority of its leisure offers are closely related to is natural quality and they pretend to take to meet coves and peaceful corners and crystal clear waters. Also, the urban sights of Palma, its capital are there, the incredible white of the Ibizan villages and parties for all tastes when the sunset starts, including Menorca and Formentera. These are 10 ways to enjoy the archipelago:

1. Visit the Santa María Cathedral in Palma de Mallorca.



Before jumping to the beach to sunbathe, save several hours to meet the inner parts of Palma. You will go with a guide to whom you can ask about fun facts, the Levantine Gothic, the style that this imposing monument of the bay shows. Since you are already wearing your walking shoes, pass through the best Patios de Palma to see the renaissance past due to the mansions and noble houses.

2. Reach the Formentor Beach by catamaran.



Board a boat that has a transparent bottom t carry out a trip to one of the most beautiful beaches, surrounded by the pineries greenery. To do that, you trip from different points of the island, normally, starting at noon so you can seize the rest of the day swimming in the zone. Embark from the Alcudia port, in Las Gaviotas or reach the Ciudad Blanca.

3. A quad trip to San Telmo.



Depart from Andratx to drive this agile all-terrain vehicle through Mallorca’s paths. The schedule will take you up to the small San Telmo village, from where you can appreciate the Dragonera island, considered as a natural park. You can always drive as long as you have a driving license but, if you don’t, be the passenger without any problem.

4. A paddle surfing route to the Sa Ferradura Cove in Ibiza:



Sink the paddle in the waters of the Blanca island, through the cliffs that will take you up to the San Miguel de Balansat port, in the northeast part. You will navigate among caves that open in the sea, also watching the Benirrás cove and the islet that belongs to it. Remember that is impossible to reach these places walking, so a board is your best option.

5. Parasailing in the San Antonio Bay:



Contemplate, from the heights, one of the prettiest bays from the Mediterranean thanks the 400 meters of distance from the marine surface that a parasailing flight provides you. Also, to protect the Ibizan environment, the boat from where the parachute elevates has music and drinks on board for you and whoever accompanies you in this adventure.

6. Go flyboarding in the Beach d’en Bossa:



In the southern part of Ibiza, the beach with more surface in the island is found, so you can practice your flyboard stunts. The water is shallow, which will make your experience a comfortable one, and then, you will have the big night leisure temples of Sant Josep de sa Talaia so the adrenaline doesn’t stop.

7. Ride a horse through the Illetas beach in Formentera:



A ride from Es Pujols to visit one of the most important beaches in the planet because, even though it seems like we say the same thing again and again, the Balearic Islands are full of coast that don’t have any comparison. Due to the soft and smooth movement of the horses, you can peacefully ride throughout the magical sand in a direction to the Ses Salines National Park, where you can also see the Levante beach.

8. Overfly Menorca with a Paraglide from S’Enclusa:



Leave with a great impression of the island, from the second highest peak, almost 275 meters in height. This perspective will allow you to see the great Biosfera Reserve, the military base after being abandoned by the United States.

9. Discover the Cales Coves by kayak:



With a sea kayak, you can move from the Es Canutells urban development to reach the great multitude of caves next to the Mediterranean. Observe the contrast and beige colors of the fossilized dunes over the bright color from the cliffs and you will travel to the past with the Balearic geology.

10. Snorkeling in Cala Saona:



Get refreshed in this small Formentera's cove where the sand is white and fine and the shallow waters invite you to enjoy a basic scuba diving session with the whole family. In the same boat, that will take you up to the coast, you can go a meet the private Espalmador island, located at north and part of the Ses Salines National Park.
