Zoológico y Safari Guadalajara

The Guadalajara Zoo and Safari is a zoo that also contains an aquarium and an adventure safari. This zoo extends over 50 developed hectares with a view over 280 hectares of ecological reserve in the beautiful Barranca de Huentitán.
It is one of the few self-financing zoos in the country, since it is a public body decentralized from the city council and managed by a business council.

The Guadalajara Zoo and Safari has 3,885 animals, of 392 different species, of which 99 are mammals, 87 birds, 67 reptiles, 8 amphibians and 131 fish. It also has a herpetarium, an auditorium for three thousand five hundred people comfortably seated, a veterinary ranch and a fabulous panoramic train that runs through the park with guides explaining details about the species observed.
This park serves school groups with children's tours and workshops on weekends and holidays that are carried out in an explanatory manner about the fauna and its housing contexts.

The facilities of the Guadalajara Zoo and Safari have all the necessary services for the greater comfort of its visitors such as soda fountains, shops, restaurants, picnic areas with children's games and it has strollers and wheelchairs for rent.
