Puerto surf Lessons teaches surf courses for beginners on the beautiful beaches of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.
To begin each class, you will be transported from your lodging hotel to the beach where you will be given the necessary material: a longboard (surfboard for beginners), a lycra and a leash.
During these courses you will learn about the surfboard, its parts, how to position yourself on it, how to manipulate it, paddle on it and how to protect yourself from it when you fall. You will be instructed on the ideal time and way to stand on the board as well as how to pass waves that are too big. This entire theoretical part lasts approximately 15 to 30 minutes on the beach, then you will practice what you have learned in the waves supervised by the instructor who will assist you.
