University of Nottingham Sport Skydiving

Join UoN for the biggest adventure of your life! Come with us for a single jump, to get your A licence and skydive or to progress on your skydiving as far as you want!

We have two courses that will help you try and enjoy skydiving:

• Ram Air Progression System. This course is great for students. You will attend ground training for a full-day and then jump the next, or whenever you can and the weather allows it. Once your training is done, you can jump anytime you wish afterwards. A full qualification will take between 16 and 25 jumps and the first 5 to 10 jumps will be on static line until you can open your own parachute in mid-air. Through the jumps, you will receive training to improve your technique and increase the altitude of your jumps.

• AFF (Accelerated Free Fall):  This course involves a jump from 13,500ft. You will receive a previous ground training and will jump when you can with 2 of our instructors giving you in air instructions. To complete the course you will have to finish 8 levels and 10 solo consolidation jumps.

After doing our courses, you will have your A licence and will be able to jump on your own in any drop-zone in the world!
