Where to go skydiving near Liverpool?

Please be aware that Liverpool doesn't have any skydiving centre where you can live a flying experience. However, you can go to one of its closest cities.

Manchester. It's considered the greatest cultural capital of the country. Here, you will have the chance to experience that feeling of a free fall, peculiarly since you will enjoy an indoor free-fall experience at one of the centres, meaning you won't jump from a plane with a parachute to fly but, you'll be flying from an impressive wind tunnel. This is the perfect option for those who want to fly like a bird and are terrified of heights because the force of the wind will only lift you about 4 metres above the ground, ensuring your safety at all times. We know that, for those who are looking for thrilling experiences, this may be a bit short. However, we guarantee this is the first and best step to diving into skydiving. It's only 34 miles away, from 50 to 55 minutes by car. We think it's the perfect activity to disconnect from the city for a while!

Lancaster. If you think you already know Liverpool well enough and want to continue discovering its surroundings, we recommend taking a trip to Lancaster, towards the North. You can enjoy and admire the spectacular green landscapes and the breathtaking Forest of Bowland. If exploring an area like this makes you fall in love with nature, can you imagine having a unique perspective from 15,000ft up high? It would be an absolute blast. You can live these experiences to their fullest by having a quick introductory class before getting on the plane. You will learn all the basic techniques to jump and open your parachute to ensure safety. You will also discover an atmosphere that will completely immerse you, making it an unforgettable memory. The best thing is that it's only 36.5 miles away (one hour by car).

Requirements to do this activity

Whether you decide to live your experience in a wind tunnel or from the sky, let us tell you that you have to meet some requirements. You don't need to have previous experience in free fall jumps since anyone who feels ready to fly can do it without a doubt. You are a professional already! Even if you want a professional outlook or not. You have the chance to choose one of the tandem jumps where a professional instructor will guide you throughout the session, so you won't have to worry about anything since the instructor will be in charge of all the technical movements and open the parachute. You only need to worry about having fun!

While flying indoors is an activity suitable for children to feel the adrenaline, skydiving only welcomes people 16+ years old. On the other hand, those over 70 and anyone who suffers from any kind of heart disease must bring a medical certificate that proves they are fit to jump. Keep in mind that your heart speeds up the heartbeat, and we want to take care of you!

We are being honest when we say that everyone can enjoy this skydiving experience. The best thing about skydiving and wind tunnels is that even people with physical disabilities are welcome to join. Skydiving is an adventure that will test your confidence while it blows your mind!

What equipment do I need?

As in any other extreme sport, it's essential to have the equipment and tools to ensure your safety during a skydive jump. Having fun is not an option for us, but having a safe experience it's always our top priority. That's why you should jump with a helmet, safety glasses and a jumpsuit to protect you from the strong wind. Don't worry about anything. The centre will provide all the equipment to jump. We recommend wearing warm clothing during the winter session due to the cold you will feel while you are in the air.

If you are wondering how you will get to the top, what your skydive or the wind tunnels are like, we can guarantee you that centres use the most modern equipment in the market for all the experiences, having top technology completely suitable for skydiving adventures to make your jump a remarkable one.

Now that you have all the information you need, you only need to go to one of these surrounding cities and get ready to live an exhilarating experience. We are waiting for you!
