Water is the most important substance on our planet, and we’ll take you on a journey Above and Below the surface.

Here at Above and Below East Yorkshire, we are passionate about scuba diving. When over two-thirds of the Earth’s surface is covered with water, it makes sense to learn how to explore the world beneath the waves. What we find is enough to make non-divers shake their heads in disbelief - wonderful wildlife, natural rock formations and submerged shipwrecks.

We’re based in Hull, a city on the North Sea coast of England. But we’re not just saltwater divers - we also dive in an indoor pool and inland at some fantastic freshwater dive sites. Wherever we go, we prioritise safety, fun and a community spirit - after all, you always need a diving buddy!

A huge part of our love for diving comes from introducing this sport to newcomers and helping divers learn new skills. It sounds cliché, but there truly is a whole world to discover underwater. We put on taster sessions, kids’ clubs and introductory courses, as well as training programmes aimed at experienced divers looking to develop their skills.

What about above the water? Well, we have a 32-acre watersport and outdoor activity centre in North Yorkshire. We run activities from raft building to stand-up paddleboarding and bushcraft to air rifle shooting there. Look up our other page for more information if you like the sound of that!
