Learning an ancient sport that is part of the culture of La Palma such as Latin sailing is now possible thanks to the courses that we teach from theBenahor Latin Sailing Cluba, a school that is dedicated body and soul to perpetuating this activity with so much historical and port tradition on the Palm Island.

Our different courses are developed over 4 sessions of 20 hours in total, for higher groups to 3 sailors. You just have to ask us about the dates and times and choose the lessons that best suit your needs. Come toPuerto S.C. of La Palma and make this experience happen.

Among the teachings that will be taught about Latin sailing in our school we can highlight:

• An introduction to nautical vocabulary that will allow you to know the different parts that make up the wafer.

• Explanation of the different types of basic knots to handle the triangular sail.

• Learning about maintaining balance and stability on this type of boat.

• Mastery of standard sailing maneuvers.

• Security measures on the boat.

• The practice of water sports such as sailing in a way that is respectful of the marine environment.

• Performing exercises with the rowing.

• A riverside carpentry workshop, the material with which these wafers are made.

We seek to make this practice an interest from an early age, which is why we not only open our courses to children from the age of 10, but we also give informative talks in the centers. educational institutions of La Palma. The only requirement we have for you to launch with the lateen sail is that you know how to swim perfectly in case of a possible capsize of the wafer.
