Depending on the sort of air transport you choose, there are various types of pilots in the world of flying. You'll have the unique opportunity to fly a light aircraft, the smallest transport vehicle that uses propellers for propulsion. A gyroplane, the safest type of aircraft since it lacks a motorised main rotor, is another option. Finally, you can also learn to fly a helicopter, which has a slower speed and lower altitude than a light aircraft.

Where to become a pilot for a day in Madrid?

To experience this, you will be required to visit areas around Madrid that offer this activity. Madrid has different regions throughout its territory, where it is possible to be a pilot for a day. Usually, these sites are located on the outskirts of the Community of Madrid.

- Casarrubios: One of the most well-known locations where you may enjoy a piloting experience is this airfield, which is just 10 minutes from Madrid. A Tecnam P2002 light aircraft, a two-person capacity and a low wing with fixed landing gear can be used for this activity. The duration of this experience may run between 30 minutes and 2 hours. This allows you to take in the aerial views of famous places like the Regional Park of the Middle Course of the Guadarrama River, which you can visit after the piloting experience is over.

- Navalcarnero: You can take a gyroplane flight from Navalcarnero, located 35 kilometres outside Madrid. You might also wonder what a gyroplane is. It's the safest aeroplane in the world, and its rotating wing gives you the impression that you have complete control over your flight. You will have the opportunity to explore the historic town of Navalcarnero, the magnificent San Juan Reservoir, and its 14 kilometres of the beach from the heights during the excursion, which you can take part in for up to an hour.
