UonAir was born with the mentality of providing support to the practice of paragliding in several regions of Portugal, specifically in the Greater Lisbon area, such as the Setúbal peninsula, the West region, or mountainous locations such as Serra da Estrela, Serra do Larouco strong> strong> or Castelo de Vide. We are located in the municipality of Moita, a perfect place to travel to other locations.

Yes, we are a school that covers all people interested in experiencing what free flight is, without an engine. This means that these are flights that depend on natural conditions and in which the pilot's expertise is used both to take off and to land on his own.

To achieve this, we offer you a range of extremely interesting options. From those who are beginners and have never tried this type of flying, to those who want to become a professional pilot, to those who want to take it a step further.

For the former we have special flights in tandem format in which you will be accompanied in the air by a qualified instructor, who will be sitting in a chair or harness and, at the same time, attached to our body. These flights can be taken from various locations such as Serra da Arrábida, for those who prefer the mountains, or Sesimbra, Santa Rita or the strong>beaches of Meco, Bicas or Fonte da Thela, for those who are obsessed with the coast.< /p>

For the latter we offer learning courses, in which the technique is perfected. They consist of several stages: in addition to theoretical classes, organized at regular times, there is a practical section. Thus, both are combined over a course of varying durations. In the initial classes, the pilot will learn to control the device with his feet on the ground. Then, solo flights are made that start from a dune, and in the last phase, end in flights lasting several hours hovering in the air alongside experienced pilots.

Another alternative, for those eager for strong emotions, is to continue taking courses in thermal flights that take advantage of rising columns of hot air, or acrobatic flights in which the pilot puts all his knowledge into practice by performing maneuvers that cause vertigo, such as spinning or staggering.

There is nothing to fear. Our entire team of monitors accredits a diploma that has been officially recognized by the Portuguese Aviation Federation (FPVL),which means you are in the best hands. Plus, they all have thousands of flights behind them.

As if that weren't enough, the activity is quite safe no matter how you look at it. In addition to the devices included in the paraglider itself, the experience of the pilots is added. If you go on your own, just consider some basic concepts, most of them related to meteorology, which are mandatory.
