I Picchi

The I Picchi flying club was a forerunner in this sector on Italian territory when, in the now distant 1980s, it was born as a union of around thirty hang-gliding enthusiasts from Abruzzo and from neighboring regions Molise, Campania and Puglia.

Today the members have grown in number and are almost all paragliding pilots who were able to witness the change of statute in 2001 which saw the club take on the title of sports association.

However, the passion and objectives have remained the same, among these the main driver of all the organized activities is the promotion of free flight activities, which we try to spread with the help of the local authorities.

Paragliding flying is often misinterpreted and considered an "extreme" sport, nothing could be further from reality, it certainly requires careful and conscious technical preparation as well as the ability to recognize climatic conditions and exploit them in the right way, however, as with all practices, with careful preparation, it presents itself as an accessible and practicable sport for most people.

The best way to make your first contact with flying is to rely on the pilots of an association to carry out your first flight experience with a tandem paraglider and be able to experience this great emotion safely and without the need for prior preparation.

Our flight areas range between the hills of Abruzzo and Molise, with take-off sites fascinating from a naturalistic and landscape point of view:

I Picchi boasts the presence among its affiliates of pilots who renew themselves every year as protagonists at the regional and national championships and are always willing to welcome and pass on their experiences to young pilots with competitive inspirations.

Finally, the training proposals of our Free Flight School are a valid tool for undertaking a path of great educational value in the field of unpowered flight and organizes original learning opportunities such as weekly training holidays.< /p>
