SOEC's Dounans Centre is located in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. One of our busiest centres, it is a great place for school groups to come and have a great adventure. With a great number of things to do, Dounans is perfectly located for up to 200+ people come and enjoy the great outdoors. Some of the activities that you can do while staying at Dounans are;

SOEC have been providing people access to the great outdoors for over 65 years, and are one of the largest provider of residential outdoor learning in Scotland. All the programmes on offer are built to be challenging and exciting to the people that do them. Our school programme link learning outcomes to the curriculum.
Whilst Dounans mainly focuses on meeting the needs of school groups for a school programme week, many other youth and community groups find our facilities and activities perfectly suited to their needs. Whether you are a guide or scout group, a Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition, someone looking for a venue for a training course, special event or celebration, Dounans may be just the place you are looking for.
