Company Overview
Our structure, the Megale Hellas Diving Center, is a center of tourist-sports services with an adjoining Diving School and Diving Center, it is located a few steps from the sea , on the seafront of Marina di Gioiosa Jonica, in the province of Reggio Calabria, in the far south of Italy, in the heart of the Mediterranean.
Equipped with large reception, multimedia classroom, storage area with numerous rental equipment, bathroom, hot shower, a spacious wash basin for washing post-dive equipment, we are also equipped with a comfortable minibus for excursions, transfers to the diving sites diving and transfer services from the airports of Lamezia Terme and Reggio Calabria.
Our dinghy is located at the port of Roccella Jonica, for snorkeling and diving trips along the coast of the lower Calabrian Ionian Sea. Moving with our minibuses we will do travelling dives also along the splendid Costa Viola of the Tyrrhenian Sea and in the Strait of Messina!
For those who do not yet have a diving license, we organize diving courses and diving experiences, for beginners and experts.
The Megale Hellas Diving Center is not just a Diving School with a Diving Center, but a multi-sport center with the philosophy of promoting the territory of the province of Reggio on a tourist level Calabria. And so we will also...

Summary Scuba diving
The Megale Hellas Diving Center is Punto MareFIAS (Italian Federation of Underwater Activities) for Calabria, it is a Gold ISDA center > (International Scuba Diving Academy) and SSI Center (Scuba Schools International).
Trust us if you are already a diver to advance in the courses or do the most beautiful diving in the province of Reggio Calabria!
If you are a beginner, experience the excitement and adrenaline of your first dive with us thanks to our courses, also suitable for the little ones.
The less experienced will have access to both the Discover Scuba Diving,your first underwater breath accompanied by an instructor in shallow water (5 m), and theFroggy Diver , an underwater experience for children, aged 8 and up.
The other courses that the facility offers are:
- Open Water Diver (20 m), Advanced Diver (30 m), Rescue Diver (Rescue)
- Advanced courses in the air (Deep Air) 50/60 m
- Trimix courses, with mixtures up to -70 m
- Underwater guide course

Summary Skydiving
To take the course you must be over 16, and it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman. To be as comfortable as possible you must bring the most suitable shoes and clothing. The course can be done intensively over 8 days or even lasting a month.
Military parachuting is very important for us. After the lessons, when you are ready, the jumps begin which will make you feel the real adrenaline.
Another course we have with us is theAFFcourse. For all those who want to make this passion their life. You will be askydiver at all levels.
Indeed, after one lessonyou will have to overcome 7 levels of launch.
In the first launches, the instructor will be with you and will help you, remaining close to you. In a subsequent phasethe instructor will launch with youbut this time you will not be attacked, while in the final phaseyou will launch completely alone.

Megale Hellas Diving Center organizes splendid trips on a 13 m boat.
Our staff, made up of professionals with proven experience, will accompany you at sea with great experience and professionalism, making you fully savor every moment of your experience discovering the splendid coast Calabrian!
The bow is large and comfortable, with the possibility of equipping it with comfortable sunbathing mats, ideal for relaxing during the excursion, between one swim and another. There is a bathroom on board.
The boat also has a small on-board kitchen which allows you to prepare quick lunches to be eaten together on board, to make the excursion even more fun!!!
On boardthere are all the safety equipmentfor both navigation and diving, so there is absolutely nothing to worry about, you just have to think have fun!!!

Summary Hang Gliding
Megale Hellas Diving Center offers its guests the opportunity to experience fantastic flight experiences in a two-seater motorized hang glider, accompanied by a pilot with proven experience.
Hang gliding is the first approach to flying that most people use, this is because it is relaxing, pleasant and, at the same time, produces a more graceful flight than other types of flying experiences.
You will be able to admire the breathtaking panorama of the coast and sea of the Rviera dei Gelsomini from above, as well as the splendid scenery of the nearby peaks of the Aspromonte National Park! The starting track is located in Bianco (RC).
The beauty of the Calabrian territory, in fact, extends throughout the region, not only along the coast but also inland. With the hang glider you will be able to admire and appreciate the entire panorama!!
