In the province of Agrigento, there is a complex designed for ecological tourism: the Hotel Feudo Trekking , immersed in the Burgio "Valle del Sosio" Nature Reserve, in the heart of the Sicani Mountains Park , one of the most spectacular places in Sicily.

To discover the magic of some valleys and mountains of Sicily, we offer you an unforgettable trek that runs through a large hiking ring, with marked and connected paths. Inside the wood it is possible to admire breathtaking overhangs, centuries-old oaks, rivers, lakes and natural springs in unspoiled nature.

But the heart of the walk is the wood, which extends for about 8 thousand hectares and represents the center of the nature reserve embraced by the Sicani Mountains: from the Sosio Valley to Palazzo Adriano and S. Stefano Quisquina.

PROGRAM:

• 1st day: Arrival at Palermo or Trapani airport, transfer to Burgio, at the Feudo Hotel.
• 2nd day: Departure from the farmhouse towards the ascent of the Sosio river. Stop at the refuge of the "Valle del Sosio" nature reserve. Return to the farmhouse.
• 3rd day: Departure to Palazzo Adriano. Visit to the town and archaeological sites. Stop at a farmhouse or packed lunch at Bevaio San Benedetto. Departure towards S. Stefano Quisquina.
• 4th day: Departure from S. Stefano. Visit to the Quisquina Woods and to the S. Rosalia cave. Lunch at a farmhouse. Return to S. Stefano.
• 5th day: Visit to Bivona, to the Sanctuary of S. Maria di Rifesi (11th century) and to the Arab-Norman Sanctuary. Return to the farmhouse.
• 6th day: departure from Burgio. Visit to the Abbey of S. Maria del Bosco. Lunch bag. Arrival in Contessa.
• 7th day: Departure from Contessa towards Chiusa Sclafani. Lunch and return to the farmhouse.

ALTERNATIVE

• 6th day: Departure towards the Poggiodiana gorges. Lunch by the sea or in Caltabellotta. Visit an ancient farmhouse with overnight stay.
• 7th day: Zabbinata and return to the farmhouse.

For all horse riding enthusiasts, the Hotel Feudo offers outings and excursions in the woods, of varying lengths.

More experienced riders can participate in our numerous horse trekking , ranging from a full day up to 3 or 4 days of horseback riding.

For the less experienced, or for those wishing to spend a pleasant day on horseback, we also organize walks in the woods , suitable for everyone, beginners and not.

Participants can admire the beauty of the Sosio River , whose waters run through a deep rocky gorge dominated by the ruins of Gristia Castle .

We then pass by the Stone of Solomon , the "Sword in the Rock" of our area, and then admire the historic center of Palazzo Adriano , then passing through the Hermitage of Santa Rosalia up to the slopes of Monte Cammarata and the Abbey of S. Maria del Bosco.

Our walks take place mainly in the woods, which is the heart of the area with its considerable extension of about 8 thousand hectares within the natural reserve of the Sicani Mountains.

Experience an exciting adventure aboard a quad bike, access lesser-known routes, totally immersed in nature!

With Hotel Feudo Quad you can take advantage of a new way of getting to know the "Valle del Sosio" and "Monti Sicani" Nature Reserve, an exciting experience through itineraries far from the usual destinations.

The experience includes a quad excursion for a minimum of 4 pax, upon request. The excursions can be of 3h and 30h or last all day in the wonderful setting of the Sicani Mountains, a town of Burgio in the province of Agrigento.

After a short initial briefing, the operation of the quad is illustrated, so that you can then drive it with ease and in absolute safety, among the paths and routes chosen by an expert guide, who will follow the group at all times.

For 4x4 and off-road enthusiasts, Hotel Feudo 4x4 Off-road vehicle offers itineraries in or near the woods, suitable for this type of activity.

At our center it is possible to rent a 4x4 off-road car for:

• hours
• half days
• full day

The price is to be agreed on site. If you own 4X4 cars and would like to undertake this sport, your own cars are welcome.
