Etna Experience

Etna Experience Ciaspole is an association that organizes sporting activities and more, which allow you to discover the Sicilian territory, in direct contact with nature.

A group of mountain guides, who are part of the centre's staff, organize amazing snowshoe excursions in the winter months, when the peaks are snow-capped.

The organization plans to:

• Winter Snow Experience: a full day tour, which allows you to walk, in winter, with the aid of snowshoes and walk along enchanting paths full of fresh snow with snowshoes and discover the snow-capped Etna. It will be about discovering a different side of the volcano that we are not used to seeing.

Excursions may vary according to weather conditions and their difficulty level is easy.

It is important that all those who are in good health participate and it is necessary to show up with snow clothing and trekking shoes.

The equipment will be provided by the organization together with the insurance.

Etna Experience Trekking is an association based in Catania, which wants to promote and raise awareness of its territory through the organization of sporting activities and more.

The centre, made up of excellent staff, plans a series of excursions throughout the year to discover Sicily. You will have a series of itineraries available that will introduce you to the most hidden sides of a region rich in history, nature, culture and good cuisine.

You will decide which route (half day or full day) to undertake between:

• Etna and Alcantara: excursion that goes from the south to the north side of Etna.
• Etna South: includes a visit to the Bove valley.
• Etna South-West: trekking at sunset.
• Etna North: excursion to one of the most interesting points on the north-eastern side of Etna.
• Eastern Sicily: Noto - Vendicari Nature Reserve, Sortino - Anapo River Nature Reserve, Montalbano Elicona - The Argimusco Rocks - The Malabotta forest, The pastures - the King's Forest - Nelson's obelisk and the his Duchy.

Always accompanied by mountain guides who know the area, you can visit places you never thought of seeing.

In complete safety you will spend long and fun days immersed in the greenery of the Mediterranean scrub that characterizes this part of Sicily.

• Etna & Wine Tour: full day excursion that allows you to discover the volcano and its flavours.
