Centre Équestre Le Ranch du Grand Aigle

The Le Ranch du Grand Aigle Equestrian Center welcomes you all year round to share with you their passion: horses!

The equestrian center is located between the Écrins National Park and the Massif des Cerces, in the village of Lauzet.

You will find activities with the horse for all types of riders: children, adults, beginners or not. The instructors will benefit from their knowledge, both during hikes and riding courses.

You can choose between the following equestrian options:

• Courses: technical and fun learning supervised by state-certified instructors from the equestrian center.
• Driving: set off to visit the villages of Serre Chevalier aboard a horse-drawn carriage.
• Horseback rides and treks: discover the region on horseback or pony!
• Pony on the farm: discover the animals in their natural environment.
• Courses : do recreational, junior or galloping courses

The Ranch du Grand Aigle takes you on an original adventure to spice up your winter holidays: ski Joëring!

skijoring initiation sessionsare organized for groups of 3 people or more. This practice has existed for more than 4000 years and comes to us from Norway. It consists, on skis, of being towed by a pony or a horse. You will therefore benefit from the sensations of sliding, while maintaining contact with the animal. It’s a different way of experiencing contact with the animal.

Ski Joëring does not require specific knowledge of horse riding, nor does it require being an experienced skier (the first star is enough). Everyone will be able to enjoy the sensations of gliding, with their skis on, at a walk, trot or gallop!

Take a breath of fresh air in the mountains, in the middle of the Alpine landscapes during this green and thrilling activity! It’s a treat for the horse, as well as the skier!
