Expert Alpine Guides will accompany you in the heart of the Gran Sasso, making you discover the slopes of Mount Velino, the canals of Mt. Sirente and the Rave della Maiella.

The ski mountaineering courses are aimed at starting the practice of this discipline without neglecting the knowledge of the fundamentals of snow science, topography and avalanche prevention.

The necessary technical materials are partly provided by the organization and are:

• skis and ski mountaineering boots
• skins
• ARVA
• ice ax crampons
• harness
• lanyards
• descender (plate)
• screw-lock carabiners

The Alpine Guides of Abruzzo Mountain Guides Sci are also available to those wishing to try engaging freeride experiences in the Gran Sasso d’Italia ski area.

The 1000/1200 meters of descent are ideal for fans of this extreme snow discipline. Lovers of off-piste and ski mountaineering can have fun with a rich variety of canals, soft panettone, wide spaces of powder snow and kilometers of easy routes.

Abruzzo Mountain Guides Trekking will make you discover the historical and environmental characteristics of the territories of Gran Sasso, the Laga mountains, Mount Velino, Mount Sirente and the wonderful valleys of the Maiella park.

The Tour of the Parks winds through the highest peaks of the Apennines and the minor peaks of the Gran Sasso massif. It consists of 7 days of travel, with two nights in a refuge and six nights in a hotel with half board.

Abruzzo Mountain Guides Climbing offers you an unusual experience: climbing on the limestone of the Gran Sasso at about 3000 meters and on the most beautiful cliffs in the south center (Pietrasecca, Grotti, Roccamorice, Pizzoferrato, Antrodoco, etc.).

The sport climbing lessons held by expert and qualified instructors are divided into:

• mountaineering ascent of low difficulty (max IV grade UIAA)
• medium / high difficulty mountaineering ascent (V-VII grade UIAA)
• mountaineering ascent of very high technical and environmental difficulty

An introductory course is offered to the less experienced, which aims to teach the basics of safety applied to mountaineering, the fundamentals of climbing technique and the use of materials (the cost of participation includes 2 days of course and the rental of common equipment and materials).

Another interesting proposal of Abruzzo Mountain Guides Climbing are the Ice Climbing experiences, which allow all participants to experience the adrenaline of climbing on ice with spades and crampons:

• ascent on low difficulty icefall
• ascent of medium / high difficulty icefall
• introductory course - to learn the basics of safety applied to ice climbing; fundamentals of technique and use of materials; 2-day course, use of common equipment and materials included in the price
