Huerto Alegre

At Huerto Alegre we hold multi-adventure camps in our farm school and nature classroom for children from 5 to 17 years old.

We apply our knowledge as experts in environmental education and heritage interpretation, providing the necessary material in each case. The educational program is based on direct contact with domestic animals and nature.

We divide the participants into a first group for children from 5 to 7 years old and from 8 to 13 in the month of July. In August we focus on students from 6 to 13 years old. We are based on:

- A trustworthy human team: the children will be in charge of professional monitors from the fields of pedagogy and education with a coordinator who will periodically inform parents of their children's progress. We will seek to ensure that they gain autonomy in personal tasks.

- Balanced diet: we consider it essential that children acquire correct eating habits. That is why we prepare food daily in our kitchens with fresh products.

- Activities on the farm: participants will see how their sense of responsibility increases by taking care of the animals and cultivating the organic garden. They will learn the transformation processes by manufacturing preserves and traditional products such as jam, cheese or butter. The rest of the time we will dedicate to creativity workshops, games and parties.
