Campamento Pío XI

The Cuenca Catholics in Action association organizes the Pío XI Camp, aimed at young people between 7 and 17 years old, and for those over 16 years old. They have been organizing camps since 1971, so they have more than guaranteed experience and quality.

Camp Pío XI is organized in different shifts for boys and girls. They last 12 days for the little ones and 5 days for the older ones, and are carried out in the months of July and August.

The facilities where Camp Pío XI takes place is at the El Manantial hostel, located in Poyatos (Cuenca). The hostel has 240 m2 which includes the kitchen, dining room, social gathering room, library, bedrooms, infirmary, toilets and showers. In addition, it has exteriors with sports courts and an area for accommodation with tents.

With our summer camps we aim to help parents in the task of educating their children and we do it from a Catholic inspiration, through talks, an atmosphere of joy and activities in nature.

The activities carried out at Camp Pío XI are:

• Leisure activities: sports of all kinds: 7-a-side soccer, five-a-side soccer, basketball, volleyball, board games, sports games in nature, chess...
• Disciplinary activities: gymnastics, store review, training before the flags of Spain and the Vatican.
• Training and cultural activities.
• Religious activities: Daily Holy Mass, imposition of scapulars, torch rosary and prayers in the morning and evening.
• Marches in nature.
• Family day.
