Karting El Pla

Karting El Pla is a kart circuit located in the town of El Pla de Sant Tirs, an hour and a half by car from the city of Lleida and about two hours from Barcelona.

It is one of the longest circuits in Catalonia, with a total length of just over 1.3 kilometers and a track width of 8 meters. There is also the possibility of making 2 alternative routes, depending on the type of race and the drivers.

They have several types of karts, to adapt to each driver: two-seater karts for parents with small children, superkarts from 12 years old, racing and evensport karts competition for those with experience.

Those people who want to compete with basics can sign up for any of the Karting El Pla schools: karting school and motorcycle school. Both are taught by professionals in their respective sports, and are the perfect way to learn techniques and tricks to improve driving and times.

There is also the possibility of hiring special services for groups: Grand Prix, Endurance race, free practice...

In addition to the circuit, Karting El Pla has a terrace to watch the races, a bar-restaurant, a kart inspection and maintenance workshop and even a storage warehouse (where kart owners can store them for use it when you go to the circuit).

At Karting El Pla we are a company in which we organize motorcycle driving courses for all levels but, recently, we have specialized in introductory courses for children.

This is a course aimed at inexperienced riders, aged 6 to 16, who want to start riding motorcycles. The lessons are taught by Joaquín Galí, a famous former World Cup player who has extensive experience as a monitor. Can you think of a better teacher?

The duration of the courses varies but usually lasts about 3 hours and includes:

• 15 minute briefing in which we will explain to the students how we are going to organize the course and what safety rules they must respect. We will also give a brief demonstration of how to handle the vehicle, the positions we must adopt and what the ideal layout would be like.

• 4 driving rounds and subsequent driving analysis.

The short layout of the circuit is used to be able to practice driving techniques in a safe environment and then perform them at the appropriate points on the route.

Students will be classified into groups of a maximum of 6 people to facilitate personalized attention.

• A first part of 15 minutes dedicated to thebriefing on the technique.
• A second part intended for 4 pilot rounds, among which a space is dedicated to feedback between the teacher and the pilot and to the analysis of the execution.

• Initiation course: indicated for beginners who have already turned 12 years of age. It is done along the short route.
• Training course: aimed at those who have already taken the previous initiation course, but who want to continue improving. It is carried out along the long route of the track.
• Competition course: for drivers aged 15 and older who already have experience driving karts.
