At Bosque da Estrela we work to offer you an experience with horses that is as close as possible. We believe in natural management, and that is why we respect the free nature of horses and keep them in semi-freedom.
Horses need to be in open spaces where they don't feel trapped, they have to be close to other horses, have nature around them. They are tremendously sensitive animals, and we care above all about their well-being.
We are passionate about these animals and our commitment is to offer you a horseback riding activity in which respect for them is the most important value. We want to convey our philosophy to you so that you get excited while connecting with these very peculiar animals.
Horses are highly sensitive animals and they pick up people's emotions on the fly. That is why our teaching method aims to ensure that rider and horse integrate and understand each other perfectly. To live the riding experience to the fullest, you must understand the animal so that it pays attention to the instructions and provides us with an unforgettable ride.
Our routes take place through forest areas and also through the surrounding beaches. We organize activities along the Costa da Morte and along the Camino de Santiago route, because the Galician natural beauty must be enjoyed on horseback.
We love outings with a full moon, there is no experience like it. However, we offer routes at very different times and the activity can be adapted to you at all times. You don't need any knowledge of horse riding, just come calmly and eager to enjoy. We will teach you to communicate with the horse so that it can guide you on an unforgettable route.
We organize riding classes for all ages and regardless of the level of the student. In addition, we also offer farm-school days especially designed for school excursions. There is nothing better for children to get closer to nature.
