Going to the mountains of Madrid on weekends is a typical Sunday activity. Going horseback riding through the mountains, on the other hand, is a unique and very fun experience. The Los Ciruelos Equestrian Center gives you the opportunity to do so at its facilities in Cercedilla, approximately 40 minutes by car from the center of the capital.
The excursions they offer are several, each with a different duration and a different route, so you can choose the one you like the most:
- Excursion to the Hollow of 7 peaks or Raso de Simón: This excursion lasts one hour, and is perfect for a relaxed walk around the area.
- Excursion to the Navalmedio Valley: on this two-hour excursion you will pass through the Pradera de las Cortes and the Luis Rosales Viewpoint. Groups must be at least 6 people.
- Excursion to the Port of Navacerrada: this excursion can last either half a day or the entire day with a stop to eat at the Casa Ochoa Restaurant, next to the ski resort. Groups must be at least 8 people.
Along with these excursions and routes, the Los Ciruelos equestrian center also offers other typical equestrian services: riding school, veterinary center, boarding service, etc.
