Caballos La Vera is an equestrian center located in Jarandilla de la Vera, in the north of the province of Cáceres, in the heart of the La Vera region. We offer you different horseback riding routes thanks to which you can enjoy an unforgettable day and enjoy moments of peace and relaxation among our landscapes.
We can offer you different horseback excursions that will be suitable for all audiences, from those who have never ridden a horse to those who are expert riders who want to enjoy several days practicing this activity. Our instructors will take care of giving you all the basic notions you need and will transmit their knowledge to you.
- Route of the emperor. This itinerary lasts half a day (4-5 hours). We will leave at 10:00 in the morning and it is a route without difficulty, although it is required that you already have previous experience in this activity, since it involves many hours on horseback. The ideal time to do this route is throughout the year, however, preferably NOT in summer
- Route through the Dehesa de Jarandilla. It lasts 2 or 3 hours and in it you can gallop and test yourself. With flat and wide terrain, you can give free rein to the adventure. This route offers the possibility of expanding it with a picnic en route.
- Viewpoint Route. An excursion of only one hour or an hour and a half in duration where you can cross oak forests, climb to viewpoints from which to observe the Tiétar Valley and Jarandilla. This route is ideal for those who have never done this activity.

How to get there?
From Madrid on the N-5, exit 178 to Navalmoral de la Mata and continue to Jarandilla. In Jarandilla, 2 km along the EX-203 to km 51,200. From Badajoz, Mérida, Seville we will follow the N-5 towards Madrid and we will leave it at exit 186 towards Navalmoral de la Mata. We will continue along the old N-5 until we reach the Hotel Moya roundabout and there on the left we will take the EX-119 towards Jarandilla de la Vera. When we reach the obligatory stop, we do not head to the right (1.5 km) along the EX-203 until km 51,200 where you will find Camping la Vera. You have arrived, ask at the cafeteria.

Our first experience both my girl and me. The ride on horseback has been spectacular thanks to the instructions of our monitor Fernando, very kind, serious and great instructor.
Also, he took many pictures of us and he is not bad at all.
Many thanks also to our horses Yunque and Fermina, they behaved very well (they are very careful with love).
Good homemade food and large terrace to enjoy with the spectacular views of the Jarandilla area.
