ASD Centro Ippico la Speranza

The ASD Centro Ippico La Speranza is an amateur sports association based in Località La Pieve in Pelago, in the province of Florence. In our center you will find the riding school, the riding school and the horse boarding house, as well as horse riding in the surrounding countryside.

The school follows both those starting from scratch and those already riding, with qualified instructors and lessons that alternate theory and practice even inside the covered riding school with a sandy surface. In the wooden stables there are boxes for the school's horses and for those that the owners entrust to us for retirement, even for long periods. Among our horses you will find chestnuts, grays and bays.

For us the horse's well-being comes first. We choose horses with care and work to ensure that a true relationship is born between people and horses, in a safe environment open to all ages and all levels of preparation.

The walks start from the riding school and follow country paths among olive groves, vineyards and meadows with the hills outside Florence in the background. During the journey the guides willingly answer questions about the area and the life of the horses, and some outings end with an aperitif of local products upon return.

Those who have come to us say above all that the staff has a lot of patience with beginners and assigns each person a horse suitable for their level, so that even those who have never been on a saddle feel immediately at ease. Others talk about the family environment, the space available and the tranquility of the area, rich in fauna.

The territory of Pelago is located about thirty kilometers east of Florence and extends from the plain to the mountains, with hills planted with vines and olive trees. It is one of the production areas of Chianti Rufina DOCG and extra virgin olive oil.
