Company Overview

The Museum of the Last Supper is the home of Leonardo da Vinci's masterful work, a work that amazes half a million visitors every year.

The museum is located inside the basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, in Milan. This basilica is an excellent example of Lombard Renaissance architecture. Commissioned by Ludovico il Moro, Duke of Milan, the basilica's tribune was destined to be the family mausoleum. It is precisely in this gallery that Ludovico commissioned Donato Montorfano and Leonardo da Vinci to decorate the walls.

The former painted the Crucifixion while Leonardo took charge of painting the Last Supper on the refectory wall. The technique is that of the fresco, although Leonardo himself does not love this painting technique, in fact it can be said who painted the wall as if it were a panel.

The visit to the Last Supper is limited to 1300 people per day, as the fresco is undergoing deterioration due to the passage of time. For this reason don't wait to visit this masterpiece and join the lucky ones who can say they have admired the genius of Leonardo da Vinci!
