Essex & Suffolk Gliding Club

Welcome to the Essex & Suffolk Gliding Club!

We are based at Wormingford Airfield and are one of the premier clubs in the East Anglia region. We offer a full range of training, starting with a Trial Lesson for those that have never experienced gliding before, Day Courses, training to fly solo, and training to achieve Bronze and Silver badges, and more.

We are a member of the British Gliding Association and all of our instructors are also BGA-qualified. We normally fly on Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and we operate all year round, weather permitting of course.

We have a large fleet of gliders, with something suitable for every level of ability and training, plus many privately owned gliders on site.

We have a variety of services and packages to offer, including Trial Lessons, Gliding Experience, Day Course, Corporate Day, Solo Flights. Families and large groups, For couples, and if you become a member, the Club Membership - which provides a lot of advantages for our clients to enjoy to the fullest.
