Sportfish offers professional fly fishing tuition in Theale, west of Reading, Berks, close to junction 12 of the M4 and Theale railway station. We are also the biggest game fishing tackle shop in southern England with conference facilities and fly fishing for trout on site.

Hourly Tuition

Our hourly lessons are available in Reading and also Syon Park in London and South Wales. At Reading lessons take place on our purpose built lakeside platforms. They can cover single-handed and double-handed fly casting methods for beginners and improver. We can also teach speycasting, double hauling, how to cast into the wind and much, much more.

Corporate Events

We provide exclusive daily use of Haywards Farm Trout Fishery. The day is tailored to meet your requirements and can include professional tuition as well as catering. Alternatively, you may wish to have access to a well-stocked trout fishery for just you and your friends to enjoy.

Half-Day Courses

Our half-day courses include an Introduction to Speycasting and an Introduction to Trout Fishing at affordable rates.

One Day Courses

Our one day courses include a Stillwater Course, Chalkstream Trout Fishing, Grayling Fishing Course and a Fly Tying Course.
