Welcome to Sophie Lea Charters

We provide fishing charters from our location on the East coast. We are fully licensed with maritime and coastguard agency code of practice for ten people. Everyone is welcome, including ladies and individuals and we provide free tuition if required.

Our Location

The Thames Estuary is a fantastic place to fish, with a vast expanse of shoal and sandbanks which offer a large variety of fish species. In the summer months there are Bass, Smooth Hound, Mackerel, Tope and Skate and in the winter months Cod and Whiting.

Our Boat
 
We have the most luxurious charter boat on the east coast. Sophie Lea II has twin 300HP diesels for safety and cruises at a speed of 20 knots, twice the speed of most charter boats, and can reach top speeds of just under 30 knots.

She has been built with comfort in mind, and onboard you have sheltered seating in the heated crew cab, toilet facilities, and modern electronics such as:

• Satellite navigation
• Colour radar overlay
• Plotters
• Flat screen instructional TV

Sophie Lea II is also ideal for Wind farm work and has successfully completed work for companies such as Ham dredging and Dong wind farms.

We also offer corporate entertainment, site seeing trips, and river cruises.
