Anglo Dawn III

Welcome to Anglo Dawn III - Angling Charters from the Superior South Devon Coast

Anglo Dawn III is an Evolution 38, fitted with an Iveco 450hp engine and the latest Garmin Sounder and Chart Plotter. She is MCA checked and follows the Code of Practice for a category 2 vessel and can travel up to 60 miles from any safe haven. She is licensed to carry 10 passengers plus 2 crew.

Charters

Reef Charters

Just 20-30 minutes from Salcombe you can find many reefs, fishing large rock pinnacles and gullies. Here you can expect to catch pollack, cod, ling, bass, conger, whiting and bream.

Bank Fishing

Go out a further, an hour and a half from Salcombe, and there lies the Skerries, a large sandbank which offers excellent flatfish ground. Here you can expect to catch turbot, bass, thornback rays, dab, blonde rays and plaice.

Wrecking

The South Devon Coast is has many WW1, WW2 and more recent wrecks, and years of angling has recorded numerous quality wreck marks sheltering the bigger fish. Steaming time 1 to 3.5 hours dependant on distance.

Shark Fishing

Shark fishing is available from mid June to early September, only an hour's steaming from Salcombe. As shark fishing is a more intense experience, these trips are restricted to a maximum of six people.

Mackerel Trips

If it´s your first fishing trip, or you just want to catch your dinner, mackerel fishing is the perfect trip. And, it is only 10 minutes out of Salcombe, and all tackle is supplied.

Skipper

The owner of Anglo Dawn III, Chris Roberts, is also your skipper. Chris holds his Yachtmasters with commercial endorsement and is also fully trained in First Aid, Sea Survival and Fire Fighting.

Fishing from the age of 4, Chris has a wealth of experience and has worked on many commercial fishing vessels, both in the local area and in Australia, where he travelled in his twenties. Here he improved his angling experience by catching red emperor, morgans cod, hammerheads, snapper, and a tiger shark, as well as plenty of tuna and mackerel.
