Being able to contemplate in all their splendor how they move, approach our positions and emit unique noises, must be a unique experience. And you don't have to go abroad, to exotic places, to make your dream come true. Surely you would never have imagined that off the coast of Gijón all this is possible.
Well yes. For our watching trips of cetaceans and seabirds in the wild we use a Lagoon 440 catamaran, with a maximum capacity of 12 people strong>, integrated with 6 cabins and four bathrooms. It is the perfect model since its ergonomics prevent instability and discomfort while sailing.
What does the activity consist of? We leave early in order to anchor the fishing grounds of the "cliff" at a reasonable hour, where the show begins. The boat carries a load of 150 kilos of fish as a lure, which will be used to attract the attention of birds that cannot be seen from the coast.
Throughout the journey we are accompanied by an ornithologist guide, in charge of identifying the birds that come to our boat as well as explaining their most notable characteristics and customs.
As for marine fauna, cetaceans, we must consider that there is a 70% probability of seeing dolphins and pilot whales, which is quite high. Let us remember that the catamaran is governed by a boat skipper who specializes in heading to the best areas where these animals are concentrated.

On the day the activity takes place, it is recommended to come with warm clothing, the sea currents, even if the weather is good, are cold, to which we should add the circulation of the machine itself, which generates even more wind. Likewise, it would be mandatory to wear a cap and sun cream to protect yourself from the inclemency of the sun.
