We will find the Peña de Foratata and we will skirt it, passing through the Forato Neck, from where we can easily contemplate Ferraturas, the peak adjacent to the Ossau Valley. If we have the strength, we could even visit the La Fita hill, an almost imperative stop if we go with snowshoes through the Tena valley.
Once we have reached this section, we begin a descent towards an esplanade that takes place in the Arrigal ravine, from where we can contemplate the Sierra de Partacuaand Punta Escarra. /strong>. We will arrive at the Bozosas area, where we will find the south wall of the Foratata, with incredible views of the Sierra de Tendenara, where it is located. the town of Panticosa. From here we will only have to choose the hill that we most want and descend to Formigal. This snowshoe trek through the Tena Valley will take us 3 to 4 hours, it is a classic and is of medium difficulty.
Another icon ofTena Valley is snowshoeing through the Anayet Lakes, which turn out to be one of the most photographed places in this entire Huscense valley for their incredible views of the Midi d'Ossau or the Anayet. We will undertake a circular route with snowshoes that will begin from the Formigal ski resort, after the Anayet chairlift, where the Culibillas ravine awaits us which shelters the first part of this snowshoe excursion.
We will go down the ravine until we reach the bottom where we will stay near a river until we reach a slope that will eventually lead us to the Ibonos de Anayet hill. From here we will head south, bordering one of its lakes and with the most perfect views of the Arroyeras. We will approach it taking a diagonal cut to reach the ridge that divides us from the Izas Valley, and from this point we could climb the summit of Arroyeras continuing along the ridge in the direction this to later begin to descend. To do this, we will go through the valley that is at our feet and we will connect with the route up to elevation 2100 to finish our snowshoe route through the Anayet lakes.This is an excursion of medium difficulty and will take between 4 and 5 hours to complete.
