Private snorkel in cenotes and visit to Tulum 4 hours
General information
Deal overview
We will start the day in Tulum, an urban center of the Mayan civilization that despite the passing of the years has been very well preserved, allowing us to continue visiting it and learning about the history. and traditions of this culture. Furthermore, its magnificent location and views make it one of the most spectacular places in the area, being able to appreciate the contrast between the height of its position and the turquoise blue of the Caribbean Sea.
Once we have completed the tourist route through this great archaeological zone, we will be able to go down to the most hidden areas, what is known as the low jungle of the peninsula, where we will be able to go deep until we reach the cenotes, one of the jewels of the region and the most mysterious and at the same time magical places that you can visit.
Cenotes are wells with crystalline waters that are supplied by underground rivers and by the filtration of rain. In this place you will have the opportunity to snorkel and discover the flora and fauna that live at the bottom of these beautiful caves. It is worth mentioning that in this package you will have lunch included, you will enjoycochinita pibil, tortillas, beans and rice to accompany, as well as flavored water.
Our guides will give you a brief talk about the formation of cenotes and how the Mayans used them for sacred rites and also thought they were the door to the underworld. They will also explain the formation of stalactites and stalagmites, incredible formations that you can see inside the caves. They will also provide you with the necessary equipment to practice snorkeling inside the cenote.
