Maritime Archeology Course in Riviera Maya 15h

Can you imagine discovering true treasures under the sea? With this introductory course toMaritime Archeology in the Riviera Maya, you will be able to do it. The duration will be 15 hours, which will have to be divided into 2 days. You will have both theoretical and practical classes, which will be in confined waters.

This NAS certification will allow you to discover and explore sites with high historical content. One of our objectives is to raise awareness and value cultural heritage. No experience or prior certification is required and therefore there is no age restriction. If any participant is under 16 years old, he must be accompanied by an adult.
In the theoretical part, we will see topics such as: type of sites, 2D registration, what to do when something is discovered and how to be responsible for it, of course, all the principles and technicalities. As for the practical part, it will be divided into sessions, in a dry area where we will observe your learning in the process of information and interpretation. In confined waters, interpretation of sites and field for non-divers.

At the end of the course, we will carry out the evaluation in which your attendance will also count. Reserve your spot and get certified in this very interesting branch of diving.

This course is the second step towards a higher level of Maritime Archeology in the Riviera Maya. It consists of 20 hours, which must be divided into 3 days. At the end of all the stages, you will be able to obtain your NAS certification Part I. Our divers are fully certified and trained to teach you the best technique.

Among the topics and activities included in the course are: how to carry out an archaeological study, preparation and plan of the project through a workshop, search and prospecting, logistics in each expedition and security , 3D projection, what to do if you find an archaeological treasure and presentation of the final project.

This course is usually more practical, so we will have different workshops planned for you, where you will put all the knowledge into practice and be able to prepare the relevant plans. You will also know how to organize the expedition, make decisions and know how to record each of the actions.
