The former military ship C-56 of the Mexican Navy was intentionally sunk in 2000 in Puerto Morelos to create an artificial reef and become a diving spot. at 27 m depth. It is possible to explore the 45 m long of it as well as dive inside, such as in its engine room, a different experience. The boat provides protection from the current and this allows to attract leopard eagle rays to this area every year.
Being able to see eagle rays in their natural habitat allows tourists who dive in this area to contemplate an incredible and natural underwater spectacle. Researchers also come to Puerto Morelos to document the migratory process. /strong> of these beautiful marine animals, since they can only be observed between the months of October to March.
We will do the scuba dives with nitrox. It is advisable to have diving experience since it is done at a depth of 30 m and there are usually currents in the area, so it is necessary to have knowledge of how to act in these situations. In any case, you can feel safe since our certified guides will accompany you at all times and will help you in any situation.
