Open Water Diver Course with Santander Certification

If you have already tried diving and want to do it anywhere in the world with your international Open Water Diver qualification, which allows you to do special dives and rent the material all over the world reaching up to18 meters deep.

The Open Water Diver course is a basic diving course that is made up of two parts (theory and practical). First, we will focus on the theoretical part where we will see different concepts such as physics applied to diving, pathophysiology, safety techniques, prevention, environment, planning, equipment, equipment maintenance, buddy system, among many other concepts.

This part is done online with the instructor's monitoring and control! Once the online part is completed, an in-person session is given to detect and correct possible doubts as well as to see the equipment and its assembly before getting into the water. A simple knowledge test will also be carried out.

The second part, referring to practices, is divided into two parts. The first is the so-called Confined or shallow waters where a series of safety exercises/skills are performed, you learn to work with the equipment, signals... Always with the prior explanation and demonstration of the instructor.

It is generally done in a pool, especially in spring, although in the summer months it can be done in the sea, a shallow area.The dedication time is not the same for each group, but generally one morning or two afternoons can be dedicated in sessions of 2 to 4 hours.

The second practical part is called Open Water, which corresponds to practices at sea. This part consists of 4 trips to the sea, each trip lasting about three hours and can be done in 2 days, doing a double session or in 4 days.Safety practices and exercises are included, varying the depth levels from 4 to 10/12 meters approx.

In the first outings we include all the exercises and the last two are usually a walk to reinforce buoyancy, buddy system /strong>, communication... This part is conditioned by the state of the sea. All trips to the sea are made by boat.It must be taken into account that the theory part is also completed with the explanations given in the practical sessions!

The students will be accompanied at all times by an instructor who controls the evolutionand handling of the equipment. The degree thatwe issue is a certification recognized at international level, within safety standards and quality demanded throughout the world. It will be certified by the International agency SSI (Scuba Schools International) which allows us and facilitates the theoretical part online. SSI is the most internationally recognized organization today, which is why it is the one we recommend the most, its pedagogical system is the most up-to-date and interactive.

We will take care of processing your license, so, once you leave our facilities, you will be able to enjoy your title and dive wherever you go. We will teach you to be autonomous in the open sea on Mouro Island!

In order to take the course it is not necessary to have a medical certification, but it will be necessary to fill out a medical questionnaire that will rule out the need for a specific examination.
