Rafting in the Pierre-Lys gorges 7km

Far from the crowds and the city, immerse yourself in the heart of the Pyrénées-Orientales and experience a sporting adventure with family or friends!

Take advantage of the richness of the region to discover preserved natural sites from the water... Thanks to rafting. In groups of four to eight people on an inflatable boat, you will descend the Aude or the longest river in the Pyrénées-Orientales.

Nearly seven kilometers of descent await you from the Gorges de la Pierre Lys car park to Belvianes-et-Cavirac. If this water ride promises to be intense and your emotions will be put to the test, children over the age of eight are still welcome. Furthermore, you will have the possibility to leave the boat and join it further away if you feel the need to avoid certain obstacles.

We will in fact be followed from the ground by a vehicle and a photographer, who will meet us at the end of the activity to take us back to the parking lot and provide you with souvenir photos.

A certified instructor will inform you about the type of obstacles that will await you during the descent as well as the measures to follow to guarantee your safety. Once you have assimilated the basics of this sport, he will invite you to warm up with a swim and jumps, before accompanying you along the Gorges de la Pierre Lys. This is where your team spirit, your physical and mental strength will come into play to calmly handle the rapids, the "Triple fall" or even the "rapid Dessert."

We will provide you with a neoprene thermal suit, a helmet and a life jacket. However, remember to bring your swimsuit and comfortable shoes that are not afraid of water. You can also bring a picnic if you want to take advantage of our picnic area once back at the nautical school!
