Quad at sunset with aperitif in Val d'Orcia, 3 hours for one

Our longest tour lasts three hours. We leave from Pienza in the late afternoon and reach Monticchiello by quad on dirt roads and paths, to stop for an aperitif while the sun goes down over the Val d'Orcia. The route is easy and measures 29 kilometers round trip.

The departure time changes with the season because it follows that of sunset. Valentino calculates the times so that you can see the sun go down from the best point of the journey, and it is the detail that guests mention most often in reviews. However, how much of the sunset you can see depends on the clouds that evening.

At Monticchiello we park the quads and sit in a room with a panoramic terrace overlooking the hills of the valley. Here they serve you a platter of cold cuts and cheeses accompanied by a cocktail, a spritz or wine, of your choice, and in reviews the aperitif is often described as abundant. A significant part of the three hours will therefore be spent sitting at the table, and the return to Pienza is done by quad with the last light of the day.

To drive you need to be 18 years old and have a B driving license. The price includes the guide and the quad with helmet, petrol and insurance, as well as the aperitif. Bring sunglasses for the low evening light and a mask or neck warmer for the dust of the dirt roads. As in the other tours, sports clothing and closed shoes are required.

This offer includes a quad with the driver only and an aperitif. If there are two of you, the quad for two that you find among the offers on this page includes an aperitif for both of you, with the passenger aged 6 and over.

Many of those who left us a review had received our tour as a gift, for a birthday or anniversary. The sunset on a quad for two is the most suitable version to give to a couple: you travel on the same quad, one driving and the other behind, and the aperitif on the Monticchiello terrace is for both.

The three hours are the same as the tour for one and here too the departure from Pienza follows the sunset time, but everything is shared. Once in Monticchiello you leave the quad and sit at the table for two, in front of a platter of cold cuts and cheeses with a drink each of wine, spritz or cocktail.

The passenger can be aged 6 or over, so the sunset can also be given as a gift to a parent who wants to bring a child with them. The driver must be of age and have a B driving license. If you give it as a gift, the date will then be fixed with us according to the season and availability.

The price is for the entire quad with two people on board and includes the two aperitifs and the helmet for both, as well as driving with petrol and insurance. We are waiting for you in Pienza!
