2 hour quad tour around Pienza, quad for one

Pienza is the ideal city of the Renaissance, redesigned at the behest of Pope Pius II. On this two-hour tour you will observe it on a quad bike from all sides, going around it on country roads instead of entering the historic center. The route measures 38 kilometres, double that towards Monticchiello. The level is easy and medium: it's fine even if you've never driven a quad, but it has some more challenging stretches where Valentino waits for you patiently.

After the tour around Pienza we take the road to Monticchiello and stop at a panoramic point overlooking the hills of the valley, without entering the alleys of the village. From here the route enters the woods on a dirt track and emerges on a second viewpoint, facing Montepulciano.

Along the route, vineyards and wheat fields alternate, dirt roads and stretches of asphalt, with short passages between the trees and a couple of stops to observe the landscape and take photographs. That's a full two hours. Those who have done them with us describe them as intense. When the group is less confident driving, Valentino chooses a simpler variant of the same itinerary. In the height of summer it's hot on the dirt roads and there's a lot of dust, so it's a good idea to bring a neck warmer to raise over your nose.

Adults with a B license can drive. The price includes the accompaniment of the guide and the quad, together with helmet, fuel and insurance. For this itinerary we recommend long trousers, as well as sportswear and closed shoes which are needed on all our tours.

When you return, ask Valentino for a local tavern for dinner: his advice is among the things that guests remember most willingly. The price indicated is for a quad driven by a single person. If there are two of you traveling on the same vehicle, you will also find the offer of a quad for two, with the passenger aged 6 and over.

There are two of you? With the Pienza tour quad for two you travel the 38 kilometers on the same vehicle, one driving and the other sitting in the back.

It is the formula that especially couples and friends traveling together choose. You share the same vehicle for two hours, and at the stops at the viewpoints of Monticchiello and Montepulciano you get off the quad to look at the valley side by side. If you are traveling with other couples or a group of friends, up to 6 quads can leave on the same exit, for a maximum of 12 people including drivers and passengers.

If there is only one driver, the passenger can be aged 6 or over and the tour can also be done with a child. With a child, keep in mind that the tour lasts two hours and has some medium-level stretches in the woods.

Pay for just one quad for both of you, with helmet for each, guide, fuel and insurance already included. For passages in the woods we recommend long trousers for both of you.
