Paramotor training phase 1, near Romans-sur-Isère

If you want to learn to fly a paramotor, know that our training is done in two phases and that this price only covers the first, from your first steps with the equipment until your first flight. The second phase, from the first flight to the certificate, is regulated separately and only if you decide to continue. Courses take place at the Ratières ULM base near Saint-Donat-sur-l'Herbasse, in Drôme, and not at the Romans aerodrome.

You will first discover the equipment before working on the sail on the ground inflating in order to build your first benchmarks. This progression takes you until you prepare for your first takeoff with the instructor. The theory advances in parallel with a view to an exam in the form of multiple choice questions.

Practical courses take place over days or half days. Nicolas offers the slots in a messaging group and each student indicates their availability. There will generally be a maximum of four students per instructor and the number of sessions depends on your progress.

Please note: the training is accessible from 15 years old with parental authorization for minors. You must be able to run a few meters at takeoff and carry the equipment, with sufficient mobility and reflexes. A medical certificate of no contraindication is required for the first FFPLUM license. During the apprenticeship, aviation civil liability is covered by the instructor's insurance according to the guarantees in his contract. As for equipment, we recommend training with your own, but you can also buy it from us with a possible discount on training or borrow one from the school. It must in all cases be accepted by the school and the pricing conditions are set before registration.
