Paragliding can be a life-changing experience and it’s our goal to give you a flight. Whoever you are, from the age of 8 to 80 years, so long as you’re able to walk up and down a hill, you can join us for a tandem flight.
One of our favourite locations for this sport is Long Mynd in the Shropshire Hills. The high plateau catches the southwesterly wind perfectly and smooth slopes make launching easy. We have a number of alternative locations in the area and beyond which we may choose in the run up to the flight to ensure the best conditions.
When we’ve chosen the site, we’ll arrange a meeting point with you, travel together to a parking place, then walk to the launch site (usually uphill). We’ll go over the basics of flight, briefing you on your role during the flight, then, when the conditions are perfect, launch into the air, aiming for about 20 minutes of flight time.
The flight will be carried out by a qualified, experienced pilot. They will film the experience with a Gopro and pass the footage onto you at the end of the day. The maximum weight they can carry is 120 kilograms.
