We offer you the Kite Rookie Course in an incredible spot in Tulum, for 3 hours learn the basic techniques of the Kite. Don't worry if you've never practiced it before, 90% of our clients are beginners.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THE KITE ROOKIE COURSE?
- 30 minutes of kitesurfing theory, including: the wind window, knowledge and direction of the wind and sailing conditions.
- Safety in kitesurfing and how to use the safety systems of a kite.
- How to set up kite equipment correctly: inflate the kite, prepare the bar and lines for launch.
- Kite Control: fly and control an inflatable kite on the beach.
- Launch and land the kite on the beach with help.
- Learn international communication signals in kitesurfing.
Then you will go to the water with the instructor and practice Body Drag Upwind and use all the power of the kite in the water.
Normally, in a 3-hour Kite Course we do not teach board surfing because more hours of Kite Control are needed, but initiation on a board will depend on the progress and level of each student.
The class takes place at the Ahau Tulum Hotel.
What does the activity include
- Complete kitesurfing equipment: kite, harness, bar and board.
- Wetsuit, helmet and vest.
- Instructor certified by IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization).

We have 3 class schedules:
- 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
- 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
- 15:30 pm to 18:30 pm

Here we tell you a little about what we will see in the beginner course:
- PracticeWater Start in both directions under the supervision of your instructor.
- Sail with the board along the beach of our spot in Ahau Tulum, to get good navigation in both directions with and against the wind.
- Determine the strength, direction and quality of the wind for sailing.
- Learn how to choose the right kite equipment for the weather conditions.
At the end of the course, you will navigate correctly, controlling the speed and respecting the kitesurfing rules.

The Waterman course lasts 6 hours that can be divided into two days.

The perfect kite course to start sailing with a board. If you want to continue kitesurfing lessons after 3 hours, extend it by 3 more hours and take theKite Waterman Course. You will be practicing your kite skills in the water all the time.
It is the perfect course for those who want to obtain complete Kite Control in and out of the water and take the first steps on the board. It will be your introduction to the Kitesurf board.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THE KITE WATERMAN COURSE?
- You will practice Kite Control on the beach under the supervision of your instructor.
- Enter and exit the water controlling the kite correctly.
- Body Drag Upwind, use all the power of the kite to move in the water and sail against the wind using your body as a keel.
- You will learn to perform Power Strokes necessary for the Water Start.
Afterwards, with a board on your feet and the help of your instructor you will perform Water Start (try to get up on the board using the force of the kite and the wind).
Once you have some control of the board, you will practice Water Start being supervised by your instructor from the shore.
Normally, to stand up correctly and confidently on the board you need more hours of practice. However, every student is different and this will depend not only on your kite skills, but also on the sea and wind conditions on that particular day. />
We can divide the class into two days since we normally teach a maximum of 3 hours a day. Check it when making your reservation.
