The team of ten instructors of our school, located in Lecce, awaits you all year round in the most beautiful spots of the Salento Coast, with its complete course for beginners which will reveal all the secrets of kiting and maneuvers to have fun on board.
The course takes place in small groups and includes an in-depth study of all the fundamental and indispensable aspects of the practice.
The course should last 8-12 hours, but the time is flexible and purely indicative: in fact, we believe that it is important to always stop and discuss with the student at the end of the lesson to review what has been done and reflect on possible errors in order to correct them.
The topics covered during the course will take place according to the following program:
- Illustrative lesson regarding safety regulations, maneuvers for various cases and the prevention of risk factors.
- Exercises with the kite, to learn basic navigation maneuvers and safety maneuvers for parking the equipment.
- Elements of meteorology.
- Lessons on the flight window.
- Body drag.
- Flying the kite in neutral and power zones.
- De-power and its use.
- Five security methods and the rules for applying them.
- Kite launching technique with help.
- Keep yourself upright and balanced on the board.
- Departures.
- Stand up on the board after starting and walk the first few metres.
- Recovery of the board using the body drag technique.
- Study of the regulations governing kiting.
- Priority criteria in the sport of kitesurfing.
- Lessons to learn self rescue notions.
